King Solomon Once Saved Not Always Saved

King Solomon Once Saved Not Always Saved

King Solomon was a man who was once saved and initially loved the Lord and prayed for wisdom to govern the nation of Israel. As a result, the Lord mightily blessed Solomon not only with wisdom & understanding, but also with great earthly riches. God used Solomon to build the majestic temple of God in Jerusalem- a wonder of the world at that time.

We read in 1st Kings 11:2-3 “Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.”

The Bible says in 1st Kings 11:9-11 that “And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, 10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. 11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend (TAKE) the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. ”

This is a very serious and sobering warning for us not to stray away from Christ’s commands. God told Israel not to intermarry with the Gentile nations because they served foreign, false gods. Solomon disobeyed and lost his salvation he previously had with God.

You need to rebuke and stay far away from all the hereticks that say one can never lose their salvation. There are so many warnings in the Holy Bible that prove this to be a lie from the pit of hell. People that believe in unconditional eternal security (aka Once Saved Always Saved) are not of God.
