Is “Once Saved Always Saved” – “Eternal Security” Biblical?
First, all we do is through the spirit of God, in the power of His grace to live a godly life, we must be found worthy picking up our cross daily as we walk in this power and grace over sin, temptation and the devil, the heart has been made pure, through obedience to the truth. Its not the outer works we do to be worthy, such as rituals, church attendance, etc, but we must prove ourselves worthy every day to God, which is our reasonable act of service to Him, we do it in our own free will and ability, led by His spirit. FAITH = OBEDIENCE! Php 2:12 “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” FIRST is repentance, as God does not even hear sinners. John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Eph 2:8 It is not God that “believes” for us, for that is impossible. It is our own mind(free will) that actually believes, or that exercises faith.. In the same manner “repentance” is to be traced to God by the conscience we are all born with. We are NOT born with a sinful nature but a nature of God. When one sins they feel “guilty”, this is our nature, it’s against sin. Of course, all have sinned from YOUTH (not birth) because the world is wicked and fallen. We either CHOOSE to obey or not, it’s our individual decision. We are born with a GOD NATURE, not a SIN NATURE! It is one of the fruits of the operation of the Holy Spirit on the soul. But the Holy Spirit does not “repent” for us. It is our “own mind” that repents; our own heart that feels; our own eyes that weep – and without this there can he no true repentance. No one can repent for another; and God neither can nor ought to repent; for us. He has done no wrong, and if repentance is ever exercised(our own free will), therefore, it must be exercised by our own minds. So of faith. God cannot believe for us. “We” must believe, or “we” shall be damned.
2Pe 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
2Pe 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the KNOWLEDGE of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
KNOWLEDGE = G1922 – ἐπίγνωσις epignōsis [ip-ig’-no-sis} From G1921; recognition, that is, (by implication) full discernment, acknowledgement: – (ac-) knowledge (-ing, -ment). Total KJV occurrences: 20
Many will accuse you of preaching a “works salvation” doctrine the minute you tell them what the bible actually says, to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling and to live holy and perfect keeping yourself unspotted form the world (James 1:27)! Do not confuse the OT law of Moses with the MORAL LAW, that has stood and will stand forever. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not destroy it! The word “fulfill” also means sometimes “to teach” or “to inculcate. “Once for all” “Forever” – In the sense that it is not to be offered again; Heb 9:28 “So Christ was once offered(a sin offering) to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” This ideals repeated here because it was very important to be clearly understood in order to show the contrast between the offering made by Christ, and those made under the Law. The object of the apostle is to exalt the sacrifice made by him above those made by the Jewish high priests. This he does by showing that such was the efficacy of the atonement made by him that it did not need to be repeated; the sacrifices made by them, however, were to be renewed every year.
So, we do have a part, a BIG part, in our salvation! Let’s continue.
Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
OSAS(Once Saved Always Saved) or “Eternal Security” or “The Perseverance of the Saints”, excreta are all lies that can be easily proven false, and, they are just the tip of the iceberg that leads to eternal destruction. It all stems from the false premise of faith alone, penal substitution, imputed righteousness, and them following the spirit of error, over the spirit of truth. that is why you must flee from the organized churches, you will be held accountable for what you know, what you have been given and what you have heard,
The “Jesus covers my sins” and the “faith or grace only” crowd make Jesus out to be a liar, when HE commanded to go and sin no more, HE meant it, a simple command, nothing magical, a stopping of rebellion, that can only come through bitter repentance and faith proven by deeds, we must do this first to touch the blood, to be cleansed and purged from within, IF this truly happened or happens, then you will never try to second guess Jesus by talking out of both sides of your mouth, saying Jesus set me free, but I still sin! You are either in the light, or in the dark, no such thing as riding on the fence, Jesus said He will spew you out!
Man is a ‘worker together’ with God, faith is never alone. (2Cor6:1, Js2:21-24) The first act of Faith toward God is Obedience to the truth. (Rom6:17) Faith originates in the heart of man in response to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. (Jh16:8, Rom10:17) Man Must have his ‘past sins Remitted (Rom3:25, pardoned, released) in repentance proven by deeds (Mat3:8, Lk3:8) BEFORE he can receive the Holy Spirit. (Js1:21) The ‘works of the law’ cannot remit these past sins because the wages of sin is death. (Rom6:23) ONLY in the ‘deeds of faith can he approach God for Reconciliation (return to favor) in the humility of repentance, in which he experiences a season of godly sorrow under a crisis of conviction that results in a clearing of wrong doing, vehement desire change, fear of God and self-vindication (self-Cleansing, Js1:21) his heart is emptied of all guile and deceit, ‘cleared (pure) from all known vile sins. His sinful passions and desires are ‘Crucified, put to death, in Christ and his heart is prepared as a vessel FIT for the Master’s use, he emerges from this experience freed from his bondage to sin, having the escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2Cor7:10-11, Rom6:4-6, Js4:7-10, Ps32:1, 2Tim2:21, Prov16:1, 2Pet1:3-4) There is no hint of human pride or boasting in this process, but because he is called to ‘Rule over it’, it Proves he has the ability within himself to do so. (All happening under the conviction and leading of the Holy Spirit, God doing His part, man cooperating from the premise of free will and ability)…………………………..
Man is Judged according to his Deeds done in faith. (Rom2:7-8) When the Lord Returns He will Judge each person according to their deeds, (Matt16:24-27,Rev22:12) those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation. (John5:29) As you are, so you will be in the final Judgment, Rev22:11-14, there is no magic transformation from wicked to righteous or filthy to clean, His Bride has made herself ready, clothed in righteous garments which are the righteous deeds of the Saints, Rev19:7-8. The Power of the Cross is to destroy Sin, not Cover it. You do not receive Jesus as your Substitute for Obedience nor do you remain a ‘sinner saved by grace. Multitudes today are under a false gospel and will perish in their sins unless they awaken to the truth. Don’t perish with them!
Remember those born from above, have produced the deeds worthy of repentance, all you OSAS pundits never quote these powerful verses that we must do first to even be considered by God, funny how you take God for granted, while you trample the precious blood, by giving permission to remain carnal, and still saved, I speak this to your shame, and hope and pray you wake up!
Therefore bear fruits worthy(meet) of repentance! Mt3:8 4:17, Lk3:8,
What are Deeds Worthy of Repentance? Biblical defined they are:
‘Something that carries weight of value, to merit something worthy of gaining’
Basically it’s what PROVES you have repented of your sins: that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.. Acts26:20
Deeds worthy of repentance are forgotten today, ALL works to the church people is thrown out for the repeat after me, greasy grace, saved In sin gospel, where they accept a provision instead of accepting their free will choice to die first in bitter repentance,(Gal 5-24) to prepare the heart and soul, to be useful to the master.
No real repentance,(2 Cor 7-10-11) no death of the old man,(his passions and desires) no redemption in Christ!
Good sheep are the ones who have done this first:
As a Scarlet Sinner man is able to come clean of his sins and Reason with God in Repentance. In his unregenerate, carnal state of sin he has NOT forfeited his ability to stop sinning and turn to God. If he is ‘willing and obedient he can find redemption in Christ. He is only hindered by his OWN unwillingness to draw near to God, in a humble self-cleansing obedience and be reconciled in repentance proven by deeds.
Isaiah 1:16-20, James4:7-10 God cannot coerce you into willingness against your will.
The works of faith are never done away with, if fact the deeds of faith, coming from a pure heart is what God desires.
If Salvation is entirely without human effort ‘not of works’, Why must Repentance be proven by deeds? Acts26:18-21 and why does Js2:24 speak of Abraham being saved by what he did and Not by Faith alone? The free gift is Remission of past sins, Rom3:25, (that have been repented of) not covering of all future sins. The ‘Works’ spoken of by Paul are the works of the law, (circumcision, rituals, days, etc.) Not the Deeds of Faith. (Repentance, obedience, crucifying the flesh, heart purity) Jesus said eternal life would be given to those who by Patience Continuance in doing well, Romans 2:4-11, obey God from their heart. (Made pure by faith (obedience to the truth), 1 Peter 1-21-22, Rom2:7, 6:16, and faith ‘works’ by love Gal5:6. If man doesn’t have to make any effort whatsoever in the process of Salvation why does the Bible constantly tell us to “work together” and “strive”, with God so as to not receive His Grace in Vain? 2Cor6:1. ‘Synergy’ (working together) is effort and requires free will and Ability (Ecc 7-29) and that’s why we will finally be judged by our DEEDS done in Faith! Rev22:11-14, 1Pet1:17, Jh5:28-29.
Jesus is YHWH
Let them be blotted out saith YHWH
Deu 29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
Deu 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
Deu 29:20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
Psa 69:25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
Psa 69:26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
Psa 69:27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
Psa 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
This is about Judas, Ps 69. Notice the 70 disciples were written Lk 10:20, Jesus said to rejoice. You say nothing was well said about Judas? Only a devil spirit would say such wickedness against the apostleship that Jesus named (Lk 6:13).
Is Judas saved or unsaved? You will have your answer.
Did Jesus send out Judas with false powers (Mat 10:1-5)?
Don’t blaspheme with your answer…
Mat 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Mat 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
Mat 12:27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
Mat 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Judas fell by transgression. What did he fall from?
If you can fall from grace going back to circumcision (Gal 5:3-5). What is your fall like when giving up Jesus and killing yourself. Suicide or circumcision mandates, what is the greater sin? (Jn 19:11)
Stop sinning against the Spirit (Heb 10:26-29)
Ezekiel 33:18 When the righteous(who?? the RIGHTEOUS) turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity(SIN), he shall even DIE thereby.
Not only does the Bible say the flesh wars against the Spirit but we all suffer being tempted by sin. It is the desires of the flesh that opposes the word of God. If I can be eternally saved by grace trough faith than that means I have to eternally obey grace Titus 2:11 that brings salvation through instructing me to always and eternally deny all ungodliness (that is of all fleshly desire that war against the Spirit) that I might live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present age by faith without wavering or falling away from the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ according Romans 6:3 all who have been baptized into Jesus have been baptized into his death and 6:9&10 says death no longer had dominion over Him because the death He died, He died to sin and the life He lived He lived to God. 1 Peter 4:1 tells us to arm ourselves with the same mind as Christ, for the one who suffers in the flesh has ceased from sin just like Jesus did not sin when He was tempted by our sins that He bore in His own body from the time He knew to choose good over evil.
So many have the false, mystical Jesus that when God looks at us He only sees the righteousness of Jesus Christ and not our sins, but I tell you the truth, the only way God will see the righteousness of Christ in you is when you walk like Christ walked condemning sin by the Spirit of Holiness.. This is the only way you will be raised from the dead. You, as the bride of Christ, must make yourself ready for the wedding supper!
Romans 8 tells us very clearly that if you as a Man in Christ live according to the carnal mind, and begin to set your mind on the flesh you will die. The only way for you to die is for you to have been alive in Christ. If you stop walking by the Spirit you will die. John 15:6 makes it very clear that you can be fruitful in Christ and become unfruitful and die. Even so does the parable of the sower speak of those who were fruitful in the knowledge of the Lord, but the word is choked out by eating false teachings like the once saved always saved teaching and start living for this world.
If you are seeking to be in Christ eternally but preaching this wicked false doctrine of OSAS/Eternal Security, you better repent of this false teaching that has taken you captive through the lust of deceit. You better die to all sin Just like Jesus did or you will not enter. Your OSAS teaching is sin. Repent and follow the doctrine of Christ, not your religious mystical Jesus that sends people to hell.
You throw out the deeds of faith, and make faith and grace a provision, over a work, that can only come from a pure heart, that has been crucified with Christ, grace and faith work together to produce a real convert, that has come from the dark into the light through bitter repentance, and touching the precious blood of Christ, to be cleansed and purged from within, once and for all, not gradually, not over time, but through the repentance process, of godly sorrow.
Another prevalent false teaching is the “It’s all Gods’ grace” crowd!
“For by grace are ye saved through faith…”
1) God’s grace 2) our faith. This is man working together with God towards his salvation. Both components are needed for salvation. Salvation is not possible by grace alone because the grace of God has appeared to all men Titus 2-11, yet all men are not saved. Only God can forgive past sins. But always remember that God cannot forgive any past sins that are not repented of and forsaken. Grace is a powerful work of God and faithfulness is a work of man.
Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, 14how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….Like Roman 8 says, unless you stay in covenant with the Lord through death, the covenant is no longer valid. Again you must remain in Christ. You must remain in the covenant of Christ.
1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; CONTINUE IN THEM: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
The TRUE intent of God’s law:
‘Justice, Mercy and Faith!’ Matt23:23, all WORKING in a person Loving God with all his ‘Heart, Mind Soul and Strength’ Deut30:6, Mt22:37, Mk12:30, Lk10:27. In real Faith a person can return to Obedience with a conscience purged of Dead works, Heb9:14 and a heart Purified by the Washing of Regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, Titus3:5.
Rom_11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which FELL(from what?!?!?!), SEVERITY; but toward thee, goodness, IF THOU CONTINUE in his goodness(CONTINUED FAITH): otherwise thou also shalt be CUT OFF(a castaway/backslider/one who loses salvation)!!!
The one’s who will never perish follow Jesus firm until the end. There have been many people who were following Jesus but than left Him. That is why He said, It would have been better to have not know the way of righteousness than to have know it and turned away……………………………………….1PET 2:3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4For by these {His power and the knowledge of Him)He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them (them that is faith in His promises) you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust………………2Pet 2:20For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. 22It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”…………..Notice it says after being washed, they turn back to wallowing in the sinful desires of the flesh, or like a dog having it’s belly cleansed of it’s sickness, but turns and eats it again……………..and you speak of being sanctified, Read Hebrews 10:26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? ………….this person set aside the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified (saved) and insulted the Spirit of grace. Paul do not be fleshly minded and say these people were never saved, or washed in the blood of the lamb, inheriting eternal life but fell away. The only security of a believer is to remain in Jesus. Works of the law will not save you but works of faith will if you keep the faith firm until the end……Your message is deadly and devised by Satan and by all those who can not stop sinning……….2Pet 2: They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, 14having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; 15forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;………What did they do?, they forsook the right way! God bless all who have ears to hear and eyes to see. AMEN
