A Narrow Road!
Because You, LORD, have helped me and comforted me!
Psa 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
Psa 86:16 Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant.
Psa 86:17 Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
I sometimes feel the sting of loneliness, and the separation that comes from following Jesus on the narrow road, and living an uncompromised life in Him.
I soon forget what many mighty servants of God went through as they stood firm in the truth, and were highly abused by the lost masses who hated them for their diligent efforts to truly obey God, and cry out for His grace, compassion, longsuffering, mercy and truth.
God hears the humble cry of His true saints who are in great distress, and on the verge of feeling so alone and isolated that the only way out is non-existent.
But this is the great lie from satan, who came to steal, kill and destroy, leaving those weak and alone an easy target to instill in them loneliness and despair.
But when King David cried to God, for strength, mercy and reassurance, God answered Him every time, sometimes right away, or maybe sometime in the future, but either way those who call upon the Lord with a pure and humble heart, will feel beaten, rejected and hated by the world, need to draw on the Psalms of David for comfort and assurance of a peace that transcends all understanding.
This world is passing away quickly, and all that is in it, the times are extremely evil as we are seeing babies thrown in the dumpsters, or into a sewer, to rot and die, what a horrible mess this is for the saints to see each and every day, as we express the heart and soul of God who hates all sin, evil and disobedience, but gives peace and assurance to the broken, and contrite followers.
To be surrounded day in and day out by a worldly God hating society and workforce can really wear on ones emotions and strength, and make one feel suffocated and unable to find true peace in these situations.
But we must not give in, we must keep seeking His great comfort, even when we are told we are the lost ones, who come with the truth, and that we are not following Christ or showing His great love and mercy, but bottom line is this:
Mic 7:18 Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.
His mercy endures forever, even though the madness and mayhem we see each and every day, is increasing as more and more fall for the ways of the world and the spirit of error engulfing the professing Christian world.
God’s mercy goes out to the truly repentant heart, that is pure, holy, and perfect in all obedience and virtue, but His wrath is still upon those who think God is OK with their continued disobedience and reluctance to lay aside all filthiness and wickedness and receive the power of His implanted word!
