James Chapter 1
Author: The author of this epistle (letter) is James, also called James the Just, who is thought to be the brother of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:19, Matthew 13:55; Mark 6:3). He became the head of the Jerusalem church and is mentioned first as a pillar of the church (Galatians 2:9). To all the catholic/orthodox hereticks, Jesus had siblings Matthew 12:46-50 / Matthew 13:54-56, etc so the “virgin” Mary was not a peptural virgin!)
Date of Writing: The Book of James is probably the oldest book of the New Testament, written perhaps as early as A.D. 45, before the first council of Jerusalem in A.D. 50. James was martyred in approximately A.D. 62, according to the historian Josephus.
Purpose of Writing: Some think that this epistle was written in response to an overzealous interpretation of Paul’s teaching regarding faith. This extreme view, called antinomianism, held that through faith in Christ one is completely free from all Old Testament law, all legalism, all secular law, and all the morality of a society. The MORAL LAW of GOD that was from the beginning stands forever. IF you love Jesus, you will “KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS” (john 14:15), if you don’t you are not His friend (John 15:14). Jesus is “the author of eternal salvation UNTO ALL THEM THAT OBEY HIM” (Hebrews 5:9). The Book of James was initially directed to Jewish Christians scattered among all the nations (James 1:1). Of course, the inspired Word is for all believers today… Martin Luther, a minister of Satan who detested this letter and called it “the epistle of straw,” failed to recognize that James’s teaching on the necessary & righteous works of a true Christian complemented—not contradicted—Paul’s teaching on faith. To have faith means to be faithful (obedient) and Jesus clearly says you must be faithful ’til the end to be saved (finally). Matthew 10:22 “And YE SHALL BE HATED OF ALL MEN for my name’s sake: but he that ENDURETH TO THE END shall be SAVED.”
Greeting
Jas 1:1 “James, a SERVANT of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
Testing of Your Faith
Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all JOY when ye fall into divers temptations; (THIS IS NOT SPEAKING ABOUT SIN. Signifies affliction, persecution, or trial of any kind).
Jas 1:3 Knowing this, that the TRYING OF YOUR FAITH WORKETH PATIENCE.
Jas 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that YE MAY BE PERFECT AND ENTIRE, WANTING NOTHING. (BEING COMPLETE)
Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Jas 1:6 But let him ASK IN FAITH, NOTHING WAVERING. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Jas 1:7 For let not that man (A LUKEWARM DECEIVER) think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Jas 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (“99%” OF ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE “CHURCHES” ON THE STREET CORNER ARE DOUBLE MINDED AS THEY BELIEVE THE GRACE OF GOD COVERS THEM IN THEIR WILLFUL SIN WHEN JESUS CAME TO FREE ON FROM SIN).
Jas 1:9 Let the brother of low degree (THE MONETARILY POOR, DESTITUTE CHRISTIAN) rejoice in that HE IS EXHALTED: (“BLESSED ARE THE POOR” LUKE 6:20-22. THE “THINGS” OF THIS WORLD ARE A DISTRACTION FROM GOD… WEALTH IS NOT A BLESSING BUT A CURSE AS Mark 10:23 “And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, HOW HARDLY SHALL THEY THAT HAVE RICHES ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD!”).
Jas 1:10 But THE RICH, in that he IS MADE LOW (by being stripped of his goods for Christ’s sake; or in that he is made, by sanctified trials, lowly in spirit, which is true matter for rejoicing): because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away).
Jas 1:11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. (THE RICH SPOKEN OF SHALL BE THROWN IN HELLFIRE FOREVER AS THE ENTERTAINMENTS OF THE WORLD, THE UNGODLY DRIVE TO KEEP MAKING MORE AND MORE AND THE AMOUNT THEY SPEND ON THEMSELVES VERSUS JESUS IS STAGGERING – OF COURSE THIS MONETARY FACT IS TRUE FOR OTHERS THAT MAY NOT BE “RICH” IN THE SENSE MOST DEFINE IT… EVERYONE IN THE 1ST WORLD IS “RICH” COMPARED TO THE 3RD WORLD. REFERENCE JAMES 5:1-6 FOR THE BEST REBUKE TO THESE “RICH” PEOPLE.”
Jas 1:12 BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO ENDURETH TEMPTATION: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (There is no man whom God does not try. He tries the rich, to see if they will open their hands to the poor and live a sacrificial life of almsgiving. He tries the poor, to see if they will receive affliction and not murmur).
Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jas 1:14 But EVERY MAN IS TEMPTED (Successfully solicited to sin), WHEN HE IS DRAWN AWAY OF HIS OWN LUST, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived (THIS HAPPENS WHEN ONE DOES NOT TAKE THE THOUGHT CAPTIVE, PRAY, ETC AS TO NOT WILLFULLY SIN), IT BRINGETH FORTH SIN: and sin, when it is finished, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH. (A SINNER’S ETERNAL DESTINATION IS THE LAKE OF FIRE, THE “DEATH” SPOKEN OF HERE).
Jas 1:16 DO NOT ERR (SIN), my beloved brethren. (HOW MANY TIMES DOES GOD HAVE TO WARN PEOPLE TO “SIN NO MORE LEST A WORST THING COME UPON THEE” JOHN 5:14).
Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift IS FROM ABOVE, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Jas 1:18 Of his own will begat he US with the word of truth (“US” MEANING THOSE WHO BELIEVE), that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (THE FIRST CHRISTIANS).
Hearing and Doing the Word
Jas 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Jas 1:20 For the wrath of man WORKETH NOT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. (A WILLFUL SINNER DOES NOT PRODUCE (WORK) THE RIGHTEOUSNESS COMMANDED OF GOD).
Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness (FIRST, STOP SINNING AGAINST A HOLY GOD WHO LIVES INSIDE ALL BELIEVERS AND WOULD NEVER LEAD ONE TO SIN. JUST ABOVE WE SAW NOT TO BLAME GOD FOR SUCH WRETCHEDNESS), and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But BE YE DOERS OF THIS WORD, and not hearers only, DECEIVING YOUR OWN SELVES. (THESE ARE THE RIGHTEOUS WORKS ALL BELIEVERS MUST POSSESS AND HAVE TIL THE END OF THEIR NATURAL LIFE LEST THEY PERISH).
Jas 1:23 For if any be a HEARER OF THE WORD, and NOT A DOER, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: (THE SCRIPTURE “GLASS” SHOWS A MAN HIS SOUL. WE SEE GOD’S GLORY AS WELL AS MANS WICKEDNESS).
Jas 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. (Forgetfulness is no excuse – James 1:25; 2nd Peter 1:9 “But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”)
Jas 1:25 But whoso LOOKETH into the perfect law of liberty, AND CONTINUETH THEREIN, he BEING NOT A FORGETFUL HEARER, but a DOER OF THE WORK (A DOER OF THE MORAL LAW BY”KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS”), this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Jas 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
Jas 1:27 PURE RELIGION AND UNDEFILED before God and the Father is this, To visit the FATHERLESS and WIDOWS in their affliction, and TO KEEP HIMSELF UNSPOTTED FROM THE WORLD.” (YET ANOTHER TO “SIN NO MORE” / TO KEEP YOURSELF UNSPOTTED MEANING MORALLY CLEAN).
James Chapter 2
The Sin of Partiality
Jas 2:1 “My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, WITH RESPECT OF PERSONS. (MANY COMMENT ON THIS AS IN RESPECT TO WEALTH, SOCIAL STATUS, ETC WHICH I AGREE. I SHALL ALSO ADD IT ALSO MEANS TO NOT WITHHOLD JUDGMENT ON A CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER, PAST FRIEND WHO IS STILL A SINNER, ETC. BLOOD IS ON THE HANDS OF THE SILENT “CHRISTIAN” (EZEKIEL 33:8-9) AND THEY HATE THEIR NEIGHBOUR IF THEY ALLOW SIN TO GO UNREBUKED – Leviticus 19:17 “Thou shalt NOT HATE THY BROTHER in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise REBUKE (LOVE) THY NEIGHBOUR, and NOT SUFFER (ALLOW, CONDONE, EXCUSE) SIN upon him.”).
Jas 2:2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
Jas 2:3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
Jas 2:4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
Jas 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, HATH NOT GOD CHOSEN THE POOR OF THIS WORLD RICH IN FAITH, and HEIRS OF THE KINGDOM which HE hath PROMISED TO THEM THAT LOVE HIM? (1st John 5:-3 “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” Jude 1:21 “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”)
Jas 2:6 But YE HAVE DESPISED THE POOR (MANY DO THIS BY NOT GIVING NEARLY ENOUGH). Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? (THIS IS RAMPANT IN THE WORLD TODAY… “THE RICH RULE OVER THE POOR AND THE BORROWER IS SLAVE TO THE LENDER” PROVERBS 22:2, FURTHER, THE PROFESSING LUKEWARM “CHRISTIAN’S ” ARE GREAT OFFENDERS MOCKING THOSE WHO SACRIFICE “ALL” AS JESUS COMMANDS).
Jas 2:7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
Jas 2:8 IF YE FULFILL the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
Jas 2:9 But IF YE HAVE RESPECT OF PERSONS (IN JUDGMENT (NOT RIGHTEOUSLY JUDGING THEM) OR ANY OTHER WAY), YE COMMIT SIN, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. (HAVING SHOWN RESPECT OF PERSONS (A LACK OF LOVE) WHETHER FAMILY, FRIENDS, BOSS, ETC THEY WILL PERISH AS THE UNBELIEVER THEYARE).
Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. (THE BIBLE CALLS FOR UNIVERSAL OBEDIENCE IN ALL THINGS).
Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. (SIN = DEATH)
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Jas 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. (He who does not exercise himself in works of charity and mercy to his needy fellow creatures, shall receive no mercy at the hand of God).
Faith Without Works Is Dead
Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, AND NOT HAVE WORKS? CAN FAITH SAVE HIM?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? (AS MENTIONED ABOVE, I SEE THIS AS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SINS (LACK OF GIVING) IN THE WORLD TODAY. THE “AMERICAN DREAM” IS A CURSE, NOT A BLESSING. Proverbs 30:8-9 “Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.”).
Jas 2:17 Even so FAITH, if it hath not WORKS, IS DEAD, BEING ALONE. (THIS IS NOT WORKING FOR SALVATION. THIS IS OBEYING JESUS AS HE COMMANDS).
Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I WILL SHEW THEE MY FAITH BY MY WORKS.
Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, AND TREMBLE. (“99%” OF PROFESSING “CHRISTENDOM” HAS ZERO FEAR OF GOD AND THUS WILL NOT MAKE HEAVEN. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: FEAR GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: for THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with EVERY SECRET THING, whether it be good (RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO ETERNAL LIFE), or whether it be evil (SIN UNTO DEATH).”).
Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O VAIN MAN, that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD?
Jas 2:21 Was not ABRAHAM our father JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? (MOST PROFESSING “CHRISTIANS” WON’T GIVE UP 30 MINUTES PER DAY READING THE BIBLE OR TRAINING THEIR CHILDREN IN THE WAY TO GO, NEVER MIND IF THEY WERE ASKED TO SACRIFICE THEIR CHILD FOR GOD. THEY WON’T GIVE UP THE TV OR WATCHING ORGANIZED SPORTS AND OTHER LIKE WORLDLY ACTIVITIES THAT FEED THEIR WICKED FLESH. Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh”).
Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? (Biblical proof that faith cannot exist without being active in works of righteousness. Opposite what the hellbound lukewarm deceivers spew from the pulpits of most all “churches” today, one’s faith in God is to no avail lest it’s manifested by works too. Obedience to the commands of God makes one’s faith perfect – the Word of God dictates obedience and a true believer obeys; and thus faith ετελειωθη, has its consummation. Even true faith will soon die, if its possessor does not live in the spirit of obedience).
Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God (WITH A TRUE WORKING FAITH), and it was (THEN) imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. (YOU ARE ONLY A FRIEND OF GOD IF YOU OBEY HIM. John 15:14 “Ye are my friends, IF YE DO WHATSOEVER I COMMAND YOU” John 15:10 “IF YE KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”).
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that BY WORKS A MAN IS JUSTIFIED, and NOT BY FAITH ONLY. (ONLY THE OBEDIENT, THOSE WHO WORK RIGHTEOUSNESS, ARE JUSTIFIED).
Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD ALSO.”
James Chapter 3
Taming the Tongue
Jas 3:1 “My brethren, BE NOT MANY MASTERS (TEACHERS), knowing that WE SHALL RECEIVE THE GREATER CONDEMNATION. (TEACHERS SHALL HAVE A GREATER TRIAL ON JUDGMENT DAY WHETHER THEY ARE MAKING TRUE OBEDIENT DISCIPLES OF CHRIST OR AS THE LUKEWARM “TEACHERS” DO, MAKE CHILDREN OF HELL. Matthew 23:15 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves”).
Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all (FAIL IN DUTY – SINS OF OMISSION LIKE NOT GIVING ENOUGH OR UNEQUALLY WITH LUKEWARM “CHRISTIANS” THAT ARE NOT OBEDIENT IS RAMPANT). If any man offend (STUMBLE) not in word (WITH SPEECH), the same is a PERFECT MAN, and able also to BRIDLE THE WHOLE BODY (HAS COMPLETE GOVERNMENT OVER HIMSELF AND HIS TONGUE).
Jas 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
Jas 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
Jas 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world (ABUNDANCE) of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that IT DEFILETH THE WHOLE BODY, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and IT IS SET ON FIRE OF HELL (THE DEVIL).
Jas 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. (ONLY A HOLY SPIRIT FILLED BELIEVER CAN TAME THE TONGUE WITH DIVINE HELP).
Jas 3:9 Therewith bless we God (WITH THE TONGUE – SPEECH), even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. (As we bless God, we ought with the same organ to bless those who are like him).
Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. (“A DOUBLE MINDED MAN IS UNSTABLE IN ALL HIS WAYS” JAMES 1:8).
Jas 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Jas 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Wisdom from Above
Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Jas 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
Jas 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Jas 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jas 3:18 And THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS is sown in peace of them that make peace. “
James Chapter 4
Warning Against Worldliness
Jas 4:1 “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Jas 4:2 YE LUST, AND HAVE NOT: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (THE WORLDLY LUKEWARM “CHRISTIAN” WHO DOES NOT PRODUCE RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NO DIFFERENT THAN THE WORLD).
Jas 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses (SPEAKING OF THE LUKEWARM WHO’S WORLDLY IDOLS, FAMILY, ENTERTAINMENT, ETC ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN GOD), know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world IS THE ENEMY OF GOD. (PARTICIPATE IN THE WORLD’S ENTERTAINMENT… HANG OUT WITH FALSE CHRISTIANS…. YOKE WITH THE WORLD AND YOU ARE AN ENEMY OF A HOLY GOD).
Jas 4:5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
Jas 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, GOD RESISETH THE PROUD, but GIVETH GRACE UNTO THE HUMBLE. (GOD’S WRATH ABIDES ON THE SINNER – John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not (MEANING DOES NOT OBEY – A WILLFUL SINNER) the Son shall not see life; but the WRATH (ANGER/CONDEMNATION) of God abideth on him.”)
WATCH ALL THE CONDITIONS GOD HAS
Jas 4:7 SUBMIT YOURSELVES therefore to God. RESIST THE DEVIL, and he will flee from you.
Jas 4:8 DRAW NIGH TO GOD, and (THEN) HE WILL DRAW NIGHT TO YOU. CLEANSE YOUR HANDS, YE SINNERS; and PURIFY YOUR HEARTS, YE DOUBLE MINDED.
Jas 4:9 BE AFFLICTED, and MOURN, and WEEP: let your LAUGHTER be turned to MOURNING, and your JOY to HEAVINESS.
Jas 4:10 HUMBLE YOURSELVES in the sight of the Lord, and (THEN) he shall lift you up.
Jas 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. (THIS IS SPEAKING TO TRUE BRETHREN, NOT FORMER BRETHREN THAT HAVE SHIPWRECKED THEY FAITH OR THOSE PROFESSING CHRIST YET NOT LIVING RIGHTEOUSLY AS COMMANDED TO PROVE THEIR FAITH BY THEIR (FRUIT) WORKS. Matthew 3:8 “Bring forth therefore fruits meet (WORTHY) for repentance:”
Jas 4:12 There is ONE LAWGIVER (ONE FINAL JUDGE), who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? (THIS IS NOT SPEAKING ABOUT EXAMINING ONES “FRUIT” (WORKS) IN ORDER TO CALL THEM OUT OF SIN BUT IT’S MEANING IS CASTING FINAL JUDGMENT ON SOMEONE UNRIGHTEOUSELY. MANY STREET “PREACHERS” DO THIS AND NEVER SHARE THE TRUE GOSPEL TO THE LOST BUT JUST CAST JUDGMENT AFTER JUDGMENT WITH NO HOPE TO THE HEARER).
Boasting About Tomorrow
Jas 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Jas 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is YOUR LIFE? It is even A VAPOUR, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Jas 4:15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Jas 4:17 Therefore to HIM THAT KNOWETH TO DO GOOD, AND DOETH IT NOT, to him IT IS SIN.” (OHH DOES THIS VERSE EXPOSE SO MANY HYPOCRITES. THOSE WHO SAY, FOR EXAMPLE, “THE ‘RICH’ ARE SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF THE POOR” WHEN THEY COULD LIVE MORE HUMBLY AND SPEND LESS ON THE WORLD AND MORE ON GOD. SO MANY WILL MISS HEAVEN BECAUSE THEY DID NOT LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY AND SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH OTHERS AS COMMANDED. I COULD LIST HUNDREDS OF EXAMPLES HERE. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in heaven. 22 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (YOU SINNER)”.

Warning to the Rich
Jas 5:1 “Go to now, YE RICH MEN, WEEP and HOWL for your MISERIES that shall come upon you.
Jas 5:2 YOUR RICHES ARE CORRUPTED, and your garments are motheaten.
Jas 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and THE RUST OF THEM SHALL BE A WITNESS AGAINST YOU, and SHALL EAT YOUR FLESH AS IT WERE FIRE. Ye have heaped (EARTHLY) treasure together for the last days.
Jas 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. (IF OPPRESS SOMEONE BY HOLDING BACK WHAT’S DUE AND/OR NOT GIVING YOUR “ALL” TO THE CAUSE OF CHRIST, YOU WILL BE CAST DOWN TO THE ETERNAL FIRE, BE SURE OF THAT).
Jas 5:5 YE HAVE LIVED IN PLEASURE ON EARTH (YOUR “BEST LIFE NOW” AS THE GODLESS HERETICKS “PREACH” NOT ONLY TO THEIR DESTRUCTION BUT TO ALL WHO BELIEVE THEIR LIES), and been wanton (LIVED WITH NO WANT – IN PLEASURE – YOU LIVE TO EAT NOT EAT TO LIVE); ye have nourished your hearts, AS IN THE DAYS OF SLAUGHTER.
Jas 5:6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. (BE NOT FOOLED… JESUS NOT OPENED HIS MOUTH “Isaiah 53:7 “as a sheep is dumb before the shearers, so He opened not His mouth” HOWEVER, the day will come when God will resist (literally, “set Himself in array against”) His foes and theirs. God permits you to go on in this way at present, but he will shortly awake to judgment, and destroy you as enemies of truth and righteousness).
Patience in Suffering
Jas 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. (Immediately after sowing. And the latter – Before the harvest).
Jas 5:8 BE YE ALSO PATIENT; STABLISH YOUR HEARTS: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (YOU MUST PREPARE YOURSELF, STAND FAST, WITHSTAND EVIL, CLEANSE YOUR HANDS, DRAY CLOSE TO GOD, KEEP YOURSELF UNSPOTTED, BE YE HOLY, BE YE PERFECT, OVERCOME, ETC).
Jas 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Jas 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for AN EXAMPLE OF SUFFER AND AND AFFLICTION, and of patience.
Jas 5:11 Behold, WE COUNT THEM HAPPY WHICH ENDURE. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Jas 5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. (THIS IS SPEAKING TO UNHOLY SWEARING. THE HERETICKS WHO SAY THIS MEANS YOU CAN NEVER SWEAR AN OATH, LIKE ONE IN A COURTROOM, ARE PREACHING NOT THE TRUTH).
The Prayer of Faith
Jas 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (such sickness would be the means of bringing the sins of the past life to remembrance, especially if the one who was sick had been unfaithful to his Christian duty to “keep His commandments”; and that the sickness in connection with the prayers offered would bring him to true repentance, and would recover him from his wanderings.This does not mean that one will be physically healed by prayer and faith as the wicked pentecostals and charismatics of our time falsely proclaim. Further, God may keep someone sick on this earth for their own good as to nor backslide, etc… Of course we are not speaking about a wicked calvinist “god” where one has no free will, but the Sovereign God of all creation that knows what’s best for His children. 2nd Timothy 4:20 “Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick”. Even the apostles could not work miracles when they pleased; that power was but rarely given, and that for very special purposes. Trophimus was an Ephesian…).
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (THIS IS WHY LOCAL FELLOWSHIP IS SO IMPORTANT… TO MINISTER TO THE SICK, PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER, HELP ONE ANOTHER IN TIMES OF NEED, ETC. WE ARE TO ALWAYS PRAY FOR HEALING AND FOR HIS WILL TO BE DONE NO MATTER WHAT THAT MAY BE. HIS WAYS ARE BETTER THAN OURS).
Jas 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (FAITH LIKE A MUSTARD SEED MOVES MOUNTAINS).
Jas 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Jas 5:19 BRETHREN (SPEAKING TO BELIEVERS), if any of you do ERR FROM THE TRUTH (GIVE BACK THE GIFT OF SALVATION BY DISOBEYING), AND ONE CONVERT HIM; (BRING THE NOW SINNER BACK TO CHRIST)
Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which CONVERETH THE SINNER from the error of his way (FROM SIN) shall save a soul from DEATH, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” (THE PAST SINS ARE NOW HIDDEN AS HE WAS CONVERTED BACK; TRULY REPENTED WITH GODLY SORROW AND IS PROVING HIS RIGHT STANDING BY “WORKS MEET FOR REPENTANCE” Acts 26:20 “But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet (WORTHY) for repentance”).
