Jesus Doesn’t Spare His People from Tribulation; the Pre-Trib Rapture is a False Hope
It is a seriously great delusion to believe that God will rescue Christians from having to go through great tribulation. The Bible teaches that the faithful Christian’s blessed hope is in Christ’s glorious appearance when He returns (Titus 2:13)- not in being rescued out of tribulation beforehand. There is only one second coming of Christ.
Jesus has not promised an easy life for anyone on earth- especially not for those who side with Him and obtain His grace. The Bible rather guarantees tribulation in the world for Christ’s true people. It speaks of the need to endure tribulation faithfully in order to continue in His grace and be prepared to meet Him.
Enduring in the narrow way of Christ even can, and likely will, eventually lead one into great tribulation. That is so whether or not the world as a whole is in great tribulation.
We read in Romans 8:17: “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
The Bible also says in 1 Corinthians 15:19: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”
It’s not hard to see then how pre-tribulation rapture belief is usually or always accompanied by a false gospel which tells people that they can accept Christ as their Savior and that He need not be obeyed as Lord and followed in all things which His Word teaches. The widespread belief in the pre-tribulation rapture is overall related to a false gospel involving easy-believe-ism and the lie of unconditional eternal security.
The widespread belief in the pre-trib rapture also fits well with the gospel of prosperity which basically falsely teaches that if you have faith God will take away your sicknesses, your problems, make you financially prosperous, and give you your best life now until He takes you to heaven.
Revelation 16:13-17 proves that there will be Christians on earth at the last trumpet who have gone through the tribulation at the end. The rapture of Christ’s people will take place on the same day as His second coming. To try to claim otherwise must also involve claiming that the rapture will come at the sound of a trumpet which is sounded after the last trumpet.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 says (concerning those in God’s true grace in Christ): “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Acts 14:21-22: “And when they (the Apostles Paul and Barnabas) had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
