America’s Enmity with God
Proverbs 14:34: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
1 Corinthians 7:2: “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.”
The CDC website says that 40.5 percent of all births in the USA for 2020 were to unmarried women. That number would be higher without abortions (which we will get to). The percentage in 1960 was 5 percent.
According to a study on statista.com’s website on the question “Do you think sex between an unmarried man and woman is morally acceptable or morally wrong?”, only 28 percent of Americans said that it is morally wrong. And that is one of the less damning studies I saw related to this.
Romans 1:32: “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
Hebrews 13:4: “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”
Jeremiah 2:34-35: “Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these. Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.”
A study by Pew Research, reported on by NPR at its own website, concluded that 52 percent of Americans consider abortion morally acceptable; and a record-low 38 percent say that it is morally unacceptable.
This is an atrocity of epic proportions and it is shocking that it has become legal and socially acceptable. America has killed over double the people through abortion than Hitler and Stalin’s regimes combined. I think it is pathetically interesting how many lament about the multitude of people that have been killed in the name of Christianity, yet they also support abortion. You know that women’s health care isn’t the issue; it would not be significantly different if somehow theoretically the fetus developed outside of the woman’s body. We all can see that the abortion justifications of rape and incest and the life of the mother are smokescreens. Most who claim such things want abortion to be legal in all cases the woman chooses it. It is also pathetically ironic that many who cry “Black Lives Matter” also support abortion, which claims hundreds of thousands of black lives each year; and black babies are aborted at a higher rate in America than the babies of any other race (and make up at least 40 percent of all abortions). When the Bible talks about parents raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and how those who don’t provide for their own children are worse than even other unbelievers are, it must mean that parents shouldn’t kill their children in the womb!
It is also amazing how the propaganda of the mainstream media has been believed by so many. The actual good of black lives and abortion rights would be contradictory goals if the good of black lives were really the goal of BLM, but the real goals of the cabal behind the mainstream media involve the destruction of the nuclear family, the removal of Christian influence from society, and the depopulation of the world, including the destruction of the black population. With that in mind, the group which is called Black Lives Matter, and abortion being legal and prevalent, should be opposed to one another. Yet they are not! But the mainstream media does not point out this inconsistency, but rather pushes the group called Black Lives Matter and pro-abortion propaganda at the same time. Yet people trust the mainstream media because they idolize comfort, the status quo, and/or this reason given in Proverbs 17:4: “A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.”
Ephesians 4:18-19 (says of the heathen at heart): “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”
This can describe many attitudes, activities, and forms of entertainment. Yet here are several of the most blatant, obvious, and destructive forms of corrupting, heathen activities fitting of the description above which are commonly promoted, indulged in, profited from, and justified in America.
- Pornography (which we have also allowed to be easily exposed to minors- woe to any society which doesn’t protect its youth from such a corrupting thing!)
- Dependence upon nicotine and the waste associated therewith.
- Dependence upon drugs and alcohol (including abuse of prescription drugs) and drug and alcohol abuse overall, along with the impaired sobriety associated therewith and the waste associated therewith.
- Gambling
All of these things inherently involve idolatry and covetousness. We didn’t even yet cover the internet, television, and phone addictions which are evidently prevalent in America too. These are also covetousness and can also be taken to the extremes of vanity, wastefulness, and leave people in a drunken stupor like drugs and alcohol do (to not be sober is a sin).
Psalm 10:3: “For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.”
Jeremiah 6:10-15: “To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. Therefore I am full of the fury of the Lord; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord. For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.”
Related to the prevalent covetousness in America displayed through sexual immorality and various other sins of sensuality, which all involve covetousness, there is the covetousness related to money and the neglect of the poor and needy, particularly the most needy in the 3rd world who are dying from man-made poverty at a rate of more than 20,000 daily. As I look at different studies on how much the average percentage of their income that the average American gives to charitable causes each year (not even considering the actual worthiness of the cause nor the reliability of those the donation is entrusted to), the average American is only giving away somewhere between two to five percent of their income, with perhaps about 40 percent giving away nothing at all. If we have a roof over our heads, adequate clothes, adequate food and water, and we still have money left over then we are rich. Much of the world, perhaps one third of it, does not have clean water and/or adequate food! Even many in poverty by American standards are rich by the world’s standards, yet complaining and wanting more from the government (i.e. from the money which tax-paying Americans earned from their own labor) is much more common in America than seeking to help those in truly dire need in other countries (socialism and marxism promote greed; and they sure do nothing to remedy it). The norm is to want more, in many cases to want more that is not even earned through honest work, rather than to thank God for how good we have it and using our abundance to help those in 3rd world nations who are in extreme poverty through no fault of their own. They are crying for help at this very moment; and most are too busy with vain things to even be able to hear their cry.
Proverbs 21:13: “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.”
From the stats I am seeing, nearly if not altogether, one trillion dollars has been spent in relation to the holidays (in November and December in recent years in America alone- that number is going up). That is enough to at least temporarily solve the world’s water and hunger crises. I know that government corruption makes that practically impossible anyways, but consider how fitting it is that a nation of generally covetous people who generally show very, very little regard for the truly poor (with their own money, in terms of percentage) get fleeced and ruled by uber-wealthy oligarchs (as is happening, obviously) when it doesn’t use the abundance it does have to help those who are crying for help.
God’s rebuke to a covetous King of Judah applies in part or in full to most Americans; and not just those we consider rich here, but even most of those whom we would not consider rich, since they are indeed rich by God’s definition in Scripture and compared to the median standards of the world.
Jeremiah 22:13-17: “Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbor’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work; That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him? He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the Lord. But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.”
Americans in general are too wrapped up in their lives and their plans to do the good before God which He requires.
James 4:13-17: “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
We are about to get into the sins of Sodom. Some people try to say that LGBT stuff isn’t what God judged Sodom for. They’ll point to the Bible passage I am about to read to try to make their case for that. But even if God only judged Sodom for the sins stated outrightly in plain words in Ezekiel chapter 16, then that still damns the LGBT crowd with all their decadence (as well as those who justify them- Romans 1:32 above). We all know that decadence is inherent in the LGBT lifestyle. Don’t play dumb and say it is not.

This description of Sodom in Ezekiel 16:48-50 doesn’t mention homosexuality directly, though it alludes to it. Yet it sure altogether deals with decadence: “As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters (consider how much time you spend on the internet, with the phone, and with the television along with what you do with them; and consider the reasons you do whatever you do with these), neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.”
So dealing further with decadence, public immodesty, often coming close to nudity, is practiced, promoted, and indulged in in America to immense degrees. It is about lust, but it is more than about lust also! It is defrauding if it is attractive to someone; advertising something they cannot righteously obtain. Otherwise, it is inconsiderate. It also provokes strife. In other areas of life we usually acknowledge that showing off isn’t right. The Bible warns in Galatians 5:26: “Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Immodesty is also a bad example to children and exposes them to what they shouldn’t see. And above all, it contends with God’s verdict that mankind should be clothed after mankind fell into sin. If you don’t know, one of God’s first acts after mankind fell into sin was to clothe Adam and Eve with the skin of an animal by God’s estimation. The fig leaves they sewed together weren’t adequate, but they covered more flesh with the fig leaves than many cover now. Our society has come to accept as normal (and even label as progress) many evil things which the Word of God condemns. One example is the acceptance of immodest dress. Even though today it is considered normal to dress sensually in tight and/or revealing clothing, this is not right in God’s eyes nor in line with common sense. This tempts good people, while pleasing impure people in unclean pursuits. This corrupts those who take pleasure in it, while making those who practice it objects in their eyes. And you can bet that immodest dress has always been associated with many other evils.
Further related to decadence, the debt that Americans pile up irresponsibly, and often over frivolous things and in relation to loving pleasure more than God, is also vast. You can look up the stats about that yourself. So many borrow for things which they could easily do without and/or borrow without the absolute intent or resolution to pay back. Psalm 37:21: “The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.”
Many even want this theft justified and sanctioned by the law- and they have had some significant victories recently too! We are driven much further into debt by corruption at the highest levels, and especially one imposter entity which controls the US financial system, which is so powerful that those behind it (i.e. the Federal Reserve) even control the mainstream media enough so that it is rarely scrutinized and never really exposed as the criminal entity which it is. Yet the general population’s covetousness related to mammon, and its overall unrighteous dealing with mammon, gives reason to believe that this entity and the oligarchs associated with it are a fitting judgment. And these oligarchs will get theirs too in due time. Be sure of that.
So in continuing with decadence, and now dealing with LGBT directly, our society is just so smart. We’ve just discovered that most of mankind, especially the societies influenced by Christianity, we’re wrong all this time. We’ve just evolved morally and we know better now, don’t we? Not really. Everyone can see that a culture having a common practice does not make that practice right. We know that cultures can quickly become corrupt and justify horrid things through the lack of sobriety, vanity, and the cowardice of its population. It is also evident that mankind is not progressing morally. Mankind’s deadliest wars have been fought in recent centuries. There has also not been a continual decrease in violent crime nor a steady increase of peace. The concept that mankind has been steadily evolving morally has been proven foolish, especially in the 20th century by the two great world wars and the many experiments of the practice of Leftist ideology (Communism/Marxism) which has consistently resulted in mass oppression and murder.
Take away the decadence, take away the evil which described Sodom above in Ezekiel 16:48-50, and then see if there is any place left for the LGBT stuff at all. It cannot exist without these things! Our society would not have come to accept it without these things already abounding within. You want to basically see how much a society has accepted LGBT stuff, look at how decadent it is. You are going to find a strong correlation between the two. I’m not talking about the richest of the rich in a nation, and the socially unacceptable dregs of a society, who always display decadence. I am talking about what has infiltrated into the mainstream, and into the general population, as socially acceptable.
Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
Jude 7: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Deuteronomy 22:5: “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”
Proverbs 17:15: “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.”
Proverbs 24:23-25: “ These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment. He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.”
Isaiah 5:20-21: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”
The Bible passage below describes the root of it all. People’s beliefs about God, and people’s morality overall, don’t just occur randomly and aren’t just a matter of opinion. There are reasons, evil reasons, that people deviate from a view of God that is inconsistent with the Bible; and why people deviate from consistency with Biblical morality.
Romans 1:18-32: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge (i.e. retain God in their knowledge thoroughly, consistently, in all things), God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness (i.e. injuriousness), covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding (i.e. not sober, in a stupor, senseless, undiscerning), covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable (unreasonable, impossible to appease in a reasonable way), unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
So keeping in mind the above passage which shows that people’s beliefs about God and people’s morality don’t just occur randomly, and aren’t just a matter of opinion, there are thus reasons, evil reasons, that people deviate from a view of God which is consistent with the Bible, and overall deviate from consistency with Biblical morality. The situation then in the realm of professing Christianity doesn’t help with the dire state of America. Rather, it makes it much worse. Since the Christian church is supposed to be the salt and light of the world (we know that Jesus said that), then it is logical to conclude that the wicked and pathetic moral state of America is rooted in the corruption of Christianity (what passes as Christianity); and the pathetic impact and poor witness of that which goes under the label of Christian in America.
A 2021 survey by George Barna and the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that though 69 percent of the US population profess to be Christians, and 51 percent of Americans claim to have a Biblical worldview, only 6 percent of Americans actually have a Biblical worldview- including only 9 percent of those who profess to be born-again Christians. And a 2022 study by the same concluded that only 37 percent of American “Christian Pastors” have a Biblical worldview. And we’re dealing with very, very general questions which don’t even address extremely key aspects of Biblical doctrine! And this is not even taking into account hypocrisy. Many who give right answers do not live accordingly. Who knows how low the number of faithful Biblical Christians would be if all these things could be factored into such a study!
Now it is considered by many churches to be a bold, radical stand for truth and righteousness when a basic, obvious, relatively easy thing to uphold is practiced, such as a church not allowing unmarried couples who are living together to be members. Wow, that is being steadfast for righteousness (sarcasm). Often even this isn’t done though. Thinking this makes your church godly is like an adult thinking he’s mature because he does his own dishes. It is even considered radical now by some to kick an open adulterer off the church’s choir while letting them continue as members. I’ve heard of a few instances like that too. That’s like a battalion demoting someone from sergeant to private for committing treason by aiding and abetting the enemy. It is aiding and abetting the enemy simply by letting such a person remain as a member! By letting that happen, the battalion itself proves it is fighting for the enemy as a whole; and that it only demoted the open traitor because he got exposed and they wanted to save face. Even a lot of churches, which do apparently practice Biblical church discipline and excommunicate some openly wicked members, often do it just to save face. Being around some will prove that they’re not bothered by unrighteousness in its membership which doesn’t make them look bad publicly.
The Bible warns about perilous times where the wicked won’t just be the heathen of society, but the heathen will also profess to be Christians and will abound in churches which are called Christian.
2 Timothy 3:1-5: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
The majority of professing Christians in America even support modern Israel, a nation composed mainly of Christ’s enemies who openly reject Him and would crucify Him again if they could; a nation which according to God’s verdict about its capital city Jerusalem, given in Revelation 11:8 “spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.”
Now the passage that we’re about to read can be said of the realm of professing Christianity as it was once said by God of Israel in its corruption; and can obviously be said of American society in general too.
Malachi 3:13-15: “Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.”
So with that in mind, Jeremiah 2:12-13 says: “ Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”
What are these broken cisterns that can hold no water which the churches in America, particularly the evangelical churches, have hewn out? BTW: I think the other churches have been proven corrupt by what has already been said already, combined with what is evidently known about the church and its membership which it sanctions. So we won’t even look at churches specifically, besides the evangelical churches (though many of the evangelical churches have been proven corrupt already too).
The warning given in the Book of Jude shows the point of attack which must be regarded as the point that a church is corrupt. Any church which promotes doctrine opposing the Lordship and/or misrepresenting the Lordship of Christ must be rebuked; and cannot rightfully be considered a faithful Christian church that is truly salt and light to the world.
Jude 3-4: “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares (i.e. subtly, privily), who were before of old (i.e. in the Old Testament, as the context of these verses demonstrates) ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
How is this influence of these subtle false teachers expressed in churches today (even the churches that can be seen as more Biblical and holy)? I am not accusing everyone who promotes the doctrine and practices I am about to talk about as being a deliberate liar, yet they have accepted the enemy’s influence; and are not representing Christianity faithfully through teaching and/or being involved with these things (which we are about to suppose).
A large percentage of churches, especially those influenced by 20th century Pentecostalism (i.e. Azusaism), and the Purpose Driven and Seeker Sensitive church movement, practice a man-centered emotionalism where the church services themselves are hype-driven productions calculated to put those in the audience on an emotional roller coaster as much, or more than, secular concerts and political rallies attempt to do. Experience and feelings are worshiped practically, though Christ and the Holy Spirit are invoked and these experiences are attributed to them. This describes most megachurches, as well as many of the most influential churches out there, as well as much of what is seen on the television networks branded as Christian television. The god in these things for the leaders is emotion (in terms of what they seek to draw the congregation by); and for the congregation it is emotional satisfaction, self-esteem, and often their own aspirations to prosperity. Many of the teachers in these environments preach a health and wealth gospel appealing to man’s desires for financial security, bodily comfort, and oftentimes hopes to actually live their best life now, as one of the most popular ones (Joel Osteen) wrote a book with that title. Shallow altar calls where people are drawn into a spurious decision for Christ through emotional manipulation, and other means of psychological manipulation, are common. A willing, knowledgeable surrender to Christ on Biblical terms, without man’s innovations involved, does not happen. And how could it? The ethos of the environment is that Jesus wants to make them happy and blessed on earth, as the highest priority- and then of course carry them to heaven after they’ve lived their best life now. This is no better than the betrayal of Judas! Judas of course betrayed Jesus with a kiss and brought a multitude to Him- a multitude who remained His enemies in coming to Him. A few may genuinely turn to the real Jesus in these environments in the midst of all this deceit, not because of them, but in spite of them. Perhaps due to better seeds which had been planted in their life beforehand and the elements of truth spoken here and there in them (no counterfeit could be effective without some truth). Even those who think they have received something positive while in such environments need to get away from them quickly lest they be turned from the Lord due to the many falsehoods, and the overall ungodly atmosphere, that the concepts which reign in these environments foster.
Otherwise, even the evangelical churches not corrupted much in these ways often have foundational problems. Here are some key ones.
Dispensationalism: This theology is prevalent in Baptist and non-denominational churches, though not limited to these of course. This overreaches regarding the distinction between the Old Covenant which God made with Israel and the New Covenant which God made with the New Testament church. It discounts that the earliest Christians were Jews who operated on the foundation stones of the Jewish Scriptures. It doesn’t take into account that the New Covenant was also made with the house of Israel (as Jeremiah 31:31 proves in a prophecy about the New Covenant). There is thus not a separate covenant for Israel as a nation now. Rather, gentiles who believe in Christ have been grafted into the house of Israel; while Jews who reject Christ as their Messiah are cut off from the New covenant with the house of Israel (Romans chapter 11 so beautifully and clearly illustrates this). This shows how the New Covenant God made with Israel is also the Covenant He made with the New Testament church. The significance of this error is that Jesus and the Apostles referenced the moral principles of the Law of God given in the Pentateuch as Christian righteousness, based upon the eternal moral law of God. Jesus and the Apostles also illustrated salvation by grace through faith using Old Testament examples and people. A great evil of Dispensationalism then is that it does not provide a faithful reference for righteous living by cutting out the force of the moral principles of the Law of God as a definite reference for this. It also gives a potential distinction between saving faith in Christ and practical obedience to Christ and faithful living before Him, while the Bible does not make such a distinction. Genuine saving faith in Christ is obedient to Him for who He is (the Lord and Savior). The evil concept that Jesus can be your Savior while not really being honored and followed as Lord is promoted by Dispensational heresy. Closely connected here is OSAS (once saved, always saved doctrine or unconditional eternal security) which the Bible repeatedly teaches the very opposite of, yet this is a logical outcome of Dispensationalism. Dispensational theology involves a lot of clever gymnastics which it employs to deny the concept that one can be in Christ for a time, yet fall away through disobedience (which stems from no longer confidently obeying Him by faith).
Calvinism (basically, Reformation theology): Calvinists can sound really good, and like these other theologies and concepts being rebuked, people can get genuinely converted to Christ through their preaching in spite of their error. And that can probably happen more with Calvinists, in my opinion, because their error isn’t as likely to be a constant influence in their message, in terms of what is actually said. Yet at the core of Calvinism is something called Monergism- the concept that spiritual regeneration (and genuine spiritual maintenance and growth too) is exclusively the work of God. Does that sound spiritual and holy? It is not true; and no Calvinist really believes in it anyways. It is a rabbithole that leads into dark, dark places where, if logically traveled to, makes God out to be the author of sin and essentially leaves God to blame for all spiritual failures! If every right response of faith is 100 percent the work of God then logically the previous sentence would be true. But even as the Calvinist attacks you for glorifying man (allegedly) and the other accusations he has learned to hurl when his evil doctrine is exposed, he is betraying his own theology- for taken logically, no one could believe in Calvinism unless God essentially forced them to. And opposition then to Calvinism would be happening by God’s own design too. Label Calvinism then for what it essentially concludes: It makes God out to be the author of evil, it absolves man of responsibility, it justifies both the devil and mankind in their sins (and makes God a villain by sending them to hell), it makes God a respecter of persons (unconditionally choosing to save some but not others), and it appeals to people who want to believe they are special to God above others and appeals to man’s desire to feel safe from God’s wrath without cooperating and striving according to God’s instructions (not out of line with them- Calvinists tend to put all striving in the same category). A Calvinist may preach one or several messages without expressing their real beliefs, but they will come out soon enough- or at least have great influence upon one who sits under Calvinist preaching or teaching before too long, since Calvinist assumptions will at least be implicit in what they say and conclusions will be stated based upon their Calvinist mindset.
Marcionism: This is common in the plain groups (i.e. Mennonite, Amish, Hutterite, etc). These groups can sound better than Dispensationalist groups in talking about real repentance towards God and the obedient nature of real faith in Christ. Yet they are influenced by a heresy which goes back to at least the 2nd century AD to a man named Marcion who taught that the God of the Old Testament is a different god than the God of the New Testament. Marcion had to eliminate large portions of the Bible to even sound convincing to some about this, but those influenced by Marcionism now, at least those who don’t blatantly claim to be Marcionites, arrive at Marcion’s conclusions in many cases without going as far as to say that the God of the Old Testament is not the Father of Jesus Christ. They do this by claiming that Jesus taught a higher or better law than what God taught through Moses in the Old Testament. This is not the same as claiming that Christ basically fulfilled the ceremonial Law of Moses and caused the ceremonial law to cease to be binding upon Christians (which we will get to in more detail soon). No, they claim that Christ taught a higher morality than the Law of Moses taught by interpreting Jesus’ words in the Gospels apart from the context of upholding the Law of Moses, which He intended them to be taken in (Matthew 5:17-20, Matthew 7:12, etc). Hence, like the Dispensationalists but perhaps even more so, due to how they actually sometimes believe utterly contrary to the law of Moses’ precepts, they lose the faithful reference to Christian righteousness established by the Law of Moses. This practically means that they unrighteously teach things like pacifism as the Christian standard when Jesus’ teachings in the Gospels on non-resistance were actually a clarification and a vindication of Moses’ Law, proving that it forbids vengeance on a personal level. When Jesus said to turn the other cheek He wasn’t saying don’t have a gun, don’t shoot the guy who is trying to kill you, don’t be a soldier or a law enforcement officer, don’t protect your home from intruders, don’t support appropriate judicial punishment for convicted criminals, or anything like that. Yet these are Pacifist concepts which badly misrepresent the righteous vengeance in God by denying the aspects of that vengeance which He has delegated to man; and which reflect His own moral character (see especially Romans chapter 13). Such things are very wicked. That is just one example of the practical effect of influence from Marcionite heresy. Plain groups often are also filled with superstition and traditions rooted entirely in their culture and not the Bible, though they still usually practice the woman’s head-covering, which is a Biblical practice that very few other churches practice now.
Judaizing: As an overreaction to Marcionism perhaps, many now try to be Jews outwardly, not accounting that God through His Apostles released gentile Christians from Jewish ceremonies and Jewish ritualistic customs through the council of the Apostles in Acts chapter 15 (with Peter’s interaction with Cornelius the centurion in Acts chapter 10 as the prime inspiration there). He later released the Jewish Christians from the same by the practical means of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in AD 70. The Temple has never been rebuilt; and Judaism cannot be practiced faithfully without this and without the Levitical Priesthood (which can’t be established even if the Temple were to be rebuilt because of the destruction of the Jewish genealogical records). The Apostle Paul warned in the Book of Galatians about the follies involved in practicing Judaism after God has told you not to do so anymore, and warned regarding practicing ritualism in any form (we should do the rituals required in God’s present covenant arrangement according to God’s instructions, but that is not ritualism). Continuing now in Judaism, and in any form of ritualism, is fleshly and a statement that one values ritual above the practical obedience and righteousness involved in a living faith in Christ (Galatians is not teaching against these things, as many claim, especially in the Dispensationalist and Calvinist camps). Hence Judaizers today spend most of their time talking about rituals and not matters related to the heart; and the practical everyday outworking of righteousness before God associated with a true heart of faith. And the Judaizers (often), like the Pentecostals and Dispensationalists as well (many), justify and support the antichrist modern nation of Israel, as if they are more righteous than other unbelievers. Again, according to Revelation 11:8, it is Egypt and Sodom spiritually by God’s estimation.
Why be so hard in this regard? 1 Peter 4:17-18: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
A lot more could be said about America’s enmity with God. A lot more could be talked about. What has been spoken of could have been analyzed in much greater detail. We haven’t even talked about the rampant adultery and unrighteous divorce in America (there is a righteous place for divorce; and there is such thing as an innocent victim therein, as one of our earlier videos talked about- yet when divorce is righteous to initiate, it surely means there was adultery or at least one of the parties could not be dwelt with anymore due to their pervasive unrighteous influence; every divorce and remarriage involves sin on the part of the one who initiated or the one who necessitated the divorce, if not sin in both parties). That is also not considering the filth which comes out of Hollywood and goes into the whole world (which obviously has quite a fanbase here in America). That is also not getting into the vast opposition to righteous law enforcement nor the hypocrisy in those who justify illegal immigration and the “no human should be considered illegal crowd” (no one really believes that when the crime hits home, as Nancy and her husband have recently proven). That is also not getting into the perversion which is not only widely practiced, but is also tolerated and promoted, even being taught to children in school! That is not going into detail about the many, and prevalent, addictive behaviors and vices which are widely practiced that God’s Word condemns (at least in principle). I surely left out much and didn’t talk about much with the depth and detail that I could have without being nitpicky nor overly harsh nor treating things as a bigger deal than they really are.
Remember then:
Proverbs 14:34: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
The Bible also says in Psalm 33:13-15: “The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.”
Job 34:20-22: “In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.”
Amos 4:11-13: “I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name.”
God destroyed Sodom for things which prevail in America on a much grander scale. Whatever God, the true God, the God of the Bible who is the Father of Jesus Christ, whatever He intends to do with America, make sure you are not part of the enmity with God in this nation. He deals with both nations and individuals (see Job 34:29). Many may very well hate what God would do if He chose to save America more than they’d hate it if He left it to its sins and let it become a Marxist hell-hole under the control of a global oligarchy. But be sure that God noted the many times people and nations have hardened their heart against Him, both within and without the recorded instances in the Bible. He noted when men forsook their sin and cried out to Him in repentance too. He is especially noting everything for the Day of Judgment when all people, small and great, will stand before Him, where eternal consequences will be meted out involving eternal punishment and eternal blessedness. That is a sure thing for every individual- and you are not guaranteed tomorrow. End your enmity with God quickly!
Psalm 1: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
Isaiah 59:1-17: “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth (many plead for justice, but they are often hypocrites who don’t care about truth- they are often among the most unreasonable people, filled with bias, turning a blind eye to anything and everything which doesn’t further their unrighteous cause- the few who actually do call for justice and plead for truth according to God’s Word are vilified as hateful- and no one really calls for truth and justice who condones abortion and/or doesn’t speak up for those dying from a lack of food and clean water; the few who call for truth and justice rebuke abortion as the wicked practice that it is and seek to alleviate the suffering of those in dire need): they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us (i.e. obviously God’s judgment is near here; this is rather speaking of how God is not intervening to help the wicked being oppressed by others who are wicked), neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
