Why Aren’t More Christians Calling For Trump to be Arrested?
Trump? The Bible makes it 100 percent clear that partiality is a sin in God’s eyes. Partiality is also at the roots of many other sins. This includes the sin of enabling others in evil.
God rebuked the Levitical priests in Israel with the following words in describing why they had become unfaithful and were under His wrath.
Malachi 2:7-9: “For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.”
Being partial in the law is the same as having respect of persons. Someone who is partial in the law will alter their moral judgment about certain deeds based upon which particular person did those deeds. It is wicked to alter one’s judgment about a case because the alleged offended is black or white or because of what their political party is.
Respect of persons is all over politics and media in many, many ways. Those with more right wing political views in America usually readily acknowledge that respect of persons is common in the left wing of American politics. And that is true. One of the ways that such respect of persons is displayed is in how many would hate Donald Trump no matter what he did and would even criticize him for doing things that are right.
However, when people continue to support Trump even when it is evident that he has betrayed his own supporters and has blatantly lied about what he said he would do in office, that is also respect of persons. That is doing the very same thing in principle that others have done when they criticized Trump for no good reason and when they justify corruption of Democrat politicians.
This is not about good intentions failing. This is about deliberately lying, deliberately starting an unnecessary war that has needlessly killed many, and even covering up documents that implicate Trump himself and his ultra-rich buddies in some of the most despicable and heinous crimes imaginable. Trump has lied repeatedly and has made it evident that he cares nothing for the common American. Here are just a few examples.
“I’ll be too busy to golf”, “America First” (it is utterly obvious now that he serves Israel), “I’ll protect free speech”, “The ballroom will be paid for by donors”, “No more foreign wars” and “We will release all of the Epstein files.”
Though he is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, why are so few Christians who claim to believe the Bible still supporting Trump and not clamoring for his arrest to happen in relation to the Epstein files, the Iran war, and perhaps over many other things as well?
Some say that there is no probable cause for Trump’s arrest over the Epstein files, as if there is nothing to see in relation to these. Donald Trump’s name and related references appear more than 38,000 times across more than 5,300 files in the Justice Department’s public release of the Epstein files.
Do you think that FBI Director Kash Patel says there is no probable cause for Trump’s arrest because he really doesn’t see probable cause despite his best attempts to uncover the truth? Or is it because he is deliberately turning a blind eye to evidence that Trump should indeed be arrested? The reality is that the complaints of many are not being heeded. Interviews with Congress have already revealed that Patel will not directly state whether he has met personally with Epstein victims who want to talk with him nor will he commit to meeting with them. In spite of that, he has also testified to Congress that the FBI has found no credible evidence that Epstein trafficked girls or women to other powerful individuals besides himself. That is hyper-suspicious. And that is an understatement. And why are Trump and his Department of Justice defying court orders to release the Epstein files in their entirety? Also, why are their illegal redactions all over the files which have been released? Why is there not a greater clamor over these things among those who claim to believe the Bible? Not only do few call for Trump’s arrest, many even still speak of him as a hero.
Moreover, the intellectual laziness, the partiality, the dishonesty, and the lack of moral courage displayed in continuing to support Trump are relevant in other ways. They obviously reflect or result in many other sins and errors in doctrine.
Impartiality demands calling for Donald Trump and the Clintons to be arrested. The information which warrants that is out there for those who care to look. Many Democrat and Republican politicians in America ought to be arrested and put on trial for many things (especially for treason in putting Israel before America). In order to not be a respecter of persons, you must want everyone of these to be arrested, given a fair trial, and punished in accordance with the crimes which they are guilty of.
We read in James 2:8-9: “If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.”
Those who are not subject to God’s law cannot be in His grace through the blood of Christ. Those who are partial respecters of persons are not subject to God’s law.
James 2:10: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
James is not making the point here that no one besides Jesus has never sinned even though he knows that and expects others to understand that. The context of this verse makes it evident that James is saying we need to keep God’s law as a guide to having a living faith in Christ. This is the same as being a doer of the Word and having pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father. These are synonymous phrases which James also uses in his epistle. When Paul spoke of justification by faith, he made it clear that we establish the law by faith rather than make it void (Romans 3:31). Paul never used the term “justification by faith alone.” The faith alone concept is a Protestant/Evangelical heresy which is no more able to save than the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox sacramental systems. Biblical justification by faith is something else. James is explaining that here.
James 2:11: “For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.”
James is rebuking the prevalent thought that one can be a transgressor of the law and yet have a saving interest in Christ. Neither murderers nor adulterers will enter God’s kingdom. A person who doesn’t do one will still be damned if they do the other. The very context of James 2:11 is implying that a person will be damned for being an unrepentant respecter of persons even if they are not an unrepentant adulterer or murderer. James is dealing with properly relating to God as the ultimate authority. We are obligated to live in subjection to His commandments as a guide to walking before Him in a living faith. The blood which Christ shed on the cross didn’t remove this obligation.
Isaiah 1:28: “And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.”
Revelation 22:14-15: “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”
Respect of persons causes riots, sends innocent people to jail, and causes guilty people to go free or receive a punishment that is way too light. Someone who truly does not respect persons would want their mother, father, sister, brother, or best friend to be arrested if there was probable cause to conclude that they committed a crime. They would also want their family member, close friend, or another person whom they had a strong natural connection with to be punished if they were proven guilty of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt. That would have to be no less true if the guilty conviction was in a case of murder or treason which resulted in the death penalty. Anyone who’d oppose anyone else being given the death penalty after being found guilty of murder is wicked since God Himself prescribed the death penalty for murderers in Genesis 9:6.
Anyone and everyone who is against any criminal (no matter who they are) receiving their due punishment, along with all who falsely accuse the innocent, are partial respecters of persons who have no business professing to believe in Jesus Christ nor preaching from the Bible.
Proverbs 17:15: “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.”
Psalm 50:16-21: “But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.”
