WORK OR DON’T EAT!

Working is part of God’s plan for us all and is commanded. We must honor God in all areas of our life. This wicked generation is downright lazy and are being trained to entitlement. They believe others should take care of them and it’s shameful! You can tell who the obedient Christian is by observing their work ethic. It is so important to make an honest living. Working honor’s God.

Many people in America abuse the welfare/entitlement system and mooch off of the rest of the people who work hard for a living. It’s offensive to God when this behavior is occurring because these people are stealing from the rest. If they are capable of getting a job and refuse to find one then they are at fault and are in sin. He told us about it early on in Genesis 2:15 as it says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” It is so very important to train up a child very young to work. Physical labor is not only good for the body (the temple of the Holy Spirit) but also the soul! You will see below work is not a suggestion, it’s a command.

2 Thessalonians 3:6-9 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. It was not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves an example to imitate.
